Erin Nickels is a lifelong resident of Long Island.  If she wasn’t so pale, she would live at the beach.  She and her husband, Jarrad, have been together since 1999. They exchanged phone numbers during in-school suspension after a long period of Jarrad basically stalking Erin at her job.  He would pick the bacon off of his hamburger and come back inside to complain.  She thought he was a moron.  He thought she was cute…

Eighteen years and three kids later, they are still going strong, having battled life hand in hand from the start.

Erin is a full-time mom with a full-time job in the Fine Arts Department of her local school district.  In addition to being published in several anthologies, she was a founding member of the Stony Brook Journal of the Arts at SUNY Stony Brook in 2004.  After graduating, she worked briefly as a reporter for a local newspaper.
